Shell House, Isla Mujeres, Mexico
The
Conch Shell House is located on the Isla Mujeres island, also known as the Woman’s
island in Mexico. The highly creative architectural house was designed and
constructed by Octavio Ocampo, a famous Mexican artist. The Conch Shell house
is surrounded by the Caribbean sea and you can get access to 180 degree ocean
views from the windows of this superb architectural model.
There
are various exclusive features of this contemporary house with a traditional
touch. The house has no corners. The whole interior of the house is decorated
by using corals, shells and various natural items found on the beach. The
accessories of the bathrooms and kitchens are also made up of the coral shells.
Some concrete foundations along with recycled materials are also implemented in
this innovative architectural design.
The
living rooms exhibit a fantastic feeling. It's all round from within and you
will feel like inside a seashell. The Conch Shell house is comprised of two
bedrooms, two bathrooms and a swimming pool. The whole house is air conditioned
and you can also get access to internet over here.
According
to some authenticated reports, about 4000 seashells were used in the decoration
of the whole house. The house serves as the best destination for a romantic
wedding. The Conch Shell house is available on a rental basis.
