Banpo Bridge-  South Korea
The Banpo bridge is one of the most famous architectural wonders, known for its unique Moonlight rainbow fountain. The construction of this bridge was completed in the year 1982 and it started operating afterwards. It is a major bridge over the Han river of South Korea and connects the two districts namely Seocho and Yongsan. There are various interesting facts about the bridge.
One is that the bridge lies above another subsidiary bridge known as the Jamsu bridge. Therefore, it is also known as a double decker bridge. As the secondary Jamsu bridge lies close to the waterline, it gets completely submerged during the periods of heavy rainfall. At that time, the Banpo bridge acts as the major route of transportation. Another interesting fact is the Moonlight rainbow fountain, which is depicted as the longest bridge fountain in the Guiness World Records.

The bridge fountain system was installed in the bridge, in the year 2009. The fountain is equipped with 10,000 light emitting diode nozzles that  are placed on both sides of the bridge of about 1,140 meters long.  38 water pumps are being implemented in the Banpo bridge and there are 380 nozzles on either side of the bridge.
